Getting started with Curl is FREE and EASY. Just download and install the RTE. Once the RTE is installed you'll be able to run any Curl application. Check out our numerous demos and experience Curl first hand.

The Curl runtime environment (RTE) is the runtime engine that executes Curl applications and renders the resulting content on a client machine. The Curl RTE is provided free of charge and you need to install it on your client machine before using Curl applications on that machine.

• Curl IDE Download
  

  The Curl Integrated Development Environment (IDE) helps you develop Curl applications. It includes tools such as a source-code editor, a debugger, a drag-and-drop Visual Layout Editor, project management and deployment tools, and comprehensive documentation about the Curl platform.

• Curl Development Tools for Eclipse (CDE) Download

  The CDE is a set of Eclipse plug-ins that provides an environment for developing programs in the Curl language and on the Curl RIA platform. The CDE is available for Windows, Linux and Eclipse 3.4.2 SDK, 3.5 SDK or any Eclipse-based IDE based on Eclipse 3.4 or 3.5.

• Styled Controls Library Download

  The COM.CURL.GUI.STYLED library is an add-on library that provides style sheets and skinned controls for the Curl GUI Toolkit. It is compatable with the released version 6.0 of the Curl RTE. The library and documentation detailing how to use styled controls in your application can be found here.

• Web Services Development Kit Download

  The Web Services Development Kit (WSDK) is a library that provides components necessary for building Curl applications that make use of web services, including both SOAP/WSDK support and an XML document model. The supported version of the product is available for Curl Pro/Deployment license users.

• Curl Data Kit Download

  The CDK library facilitates building data-centric applications in Curl and provides support for local SQL databases. By allowing the storage and retrieval of data using the popular SQLite engine, the CDK library is an important foundation for occasionally connected computing (OCC) applications developed with Curl.

  In addition, SQLite databases are fully integrated with the Curl DATA-ACCESS functionality, enabling the use of standard Curl techniques for presentation and manipulation such as RecordView, RecordGrid, RecordForm and DataBinding.

• Curl Data Kit -- Data Services Download

  The Curl Data Kit Data Services (CDK-DS) library facilitates building data-centric applications in Curl that use remoting and messaging to interact with servers that support the AMF data transfer protocol.

  The supported version of the product is available for Curl Pro/Deployment license users.

Deployment Licenses

When you deploy a Curl application to a server, you will need to have a deployment license (also referred to as a license key) that indicates that your use of Curl is authorized. There are are 2 kinds of server license; Base and Pro.

• Curl Deployment License A Curl Deployment License makes available the base features of the Curl platform and is free. Commercial use of the Curl Deployment License is restricted to Web applications that are invoked through publicly visible URLs.
• Curl Pro/Deployment License There are 5 types of Pro/Deployment license: Enterprise, Internet, Software-as-a-service, OEM and Development. These licenses make available the additional enterprise class capabilities of the Curl platform.

You can download previous versions of the Curl IDE to develop, debug and view documentation using the older version. Currently, the only previous version of the IDE available is version 6.0.
